However, like most CME programs, attendance at our live events has decreased over time. At CSM, our state of the art conference center at Water Tower Medical Commons will enhance the live CME experience. There are more opportunities to provide excellent patient care: we have the ability to do needs assessment using advanced data analysis about practice patterns there are more easily accessible electronic resources to provide evidence-based practice guidelines at the bedside and there are ever expanding resources to provide CME.

All case conferences will continue as previously scheduled.

We’re also working to provide remote broadcasting for those who wish to participate but are unable to attend in person. Beginning on Thursday, October 13, 2016, Grand Rounds will occur on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 o’clock noon in the Main Hospital, Café G126-A.

The second major Program change involves a transition from weekly morning Grand Rounds to monthly Grand Rounds.

Dinner and speakers will follow from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Our newly designed “Fall Clinic” is scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2016, beginning with cocktails at 5:30 PM. Each CME evening dinner event will focus on different topics of medical interest.

Fall and Spring Clinics will transition from traditional morning sessions to three or four evening CME dinner events per year.
